[ET Net News Agency, 18 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$79.07 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.37 billion, or 15.65% of the
market's turnover. There were 746 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.25 billion and HK$683.18
million, or 18.16% and 5.52% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 51.46% and 47.37% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$645.93 million and HK$486.9 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.22% and 3.94% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 23.89% and 16.56% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.1, or 0.39%, to HK$25.56. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.48, or
0.53%, to HK$90.12. XIAOMI-W fell HK$1.28, or 3.11% to HK$39.94. TENCENT declined by
HK$3.5, or 0.58%, to HK$601.5.
